I am the vine you are the branches

John 15:5

New Century Version (NCV)
5 "I am the vine, and you are the branches. If any remain in me and I remain in them, they produce much fruit. But without me they can do nothing.

Last night I got home blogged and sat and played Tetris and chatted on Facebook. It was nice along with being near my friends yesterday. But I also stress a lot inside my head about how others perceive me  and how I am making myself look. My friends accept me for who I am but I do not accept myself because I am really hard on myself telling myself that I got to reach the top of the mountain to acheive things. Well, that mountain is pretty high and I have a list from the bottom all the way to the top.

Heres a list:
  1. Land a job (ps. Got an Interview at 10am tomorrow Please pray!)
  2. Get enough money for a car (and all that comes with it)
  3. Lose my last 63-65 lbs
  4. Get enrolled at MACC for my Business certificate
  5. Get into a home of my own
If 1. works out so does 2. 3. and 5.  So please Pray! I will do my best to land this job and if I fail then God will open an other door. Let me explain 3. money from a job I can get a gym membership :-) I will take any job just to say im employed and to save for a car and rent for a place.

Anyways an amazing thing happened last night as I read a few devotions the reoccurring theme was the word "Abide" and the verse John 15:5 kept showing up and replaying in my mind. The devotions talked about letting go of my burdens and giving it to God and to remain in him through everything. Also, I read about praying for the Holy Spirit to move in me. and sometimes I feel my prayers are empty and without heart but last night I asked for the Holy Spirit to take refuge in me and that prayer was very meaningful as I was abiding in God. I slept peacefully last night as I gave God control over my life again and it was the best sleep I have had in a long time.

If you are going through something don't forget to take it to the cross and abide in God he understands us better than anyone and has known us while we were still in our mother's womb.
