Guns?

I was sitting around a table coloring and I couldn't think of what to blog about. My roommate Stephen said "his guns" lol and I was like really? NOO! lol but I did decide to blog about guns.

Did you know that when you work overnight sporting goods at Wal-Mart you cannot sell a gun but you can sell bullets?  I have learned a lot about calliber and different sizes for guns as I worked overnight sporting goods. You know what is funny to me when a Teenage girl is getting ready to go out on a date or bring the date home and the dad gets his shotgun out and tells the boy he will never be good enough for his daughter and if he hurts her he will shoot him with his Gun Its really just a scare tactic in many instances the Dad won't really shoot the poor naive boy.I dont think??? Now I dont really believe in Murdering someone but when I see it on tv as part of a show or movie it doesnt bother me although I feel as if some of the violence should be captioned.When I know its real life that people are using their guns and people and animals are dying out of hate crimes then it really bothers me. At one time I thought about being a police officer because a career test told me that was number one for my career path after a questionnaire in the 10th grade. That is an honorable profession but I do not think I could handle seeing all the crimes and keep a clear mind especially after the certain things that happened to me growing up. I have been subjected to more than I should have...

When is it acceptable to use a gun in my opinion?

* To protect yourself: if you or a loved one is getting attacked and it is your last resort

* Hunting: although I could never personally hunt unless i was stranded. Maybe, if noone else was around and that was my only resort.

*Paintball

* Your profession calls for it

* Airsoft

*Target practice

Can you think of anything else?

Please Please Please when and if you buy a gun make sure it has a safety and that you have a safe for it. As, you have seen on the news in the past 10 or so years anyone can get a hold of a gun if it is not locked up even 5 year old kids :( Lets try and remember what guns are really for... Protection!
